Hiro Ebata Biography Hiro was born and raised in Japan. In 1992 he started working at Canon Inc. as an electrical enginner. So, guitar making was just for fun until 2004. At the end of 2003, he quit Canon to master guitar making. From the beginning of 2004, he started learning it under Ervin Somogyi at his shop in Oakland California. For the next 18 months, Hiro learned many things form Ervin, mainly voicing of a guitar. In July of 2005, he went back to Japan and opened his shop in Yamato city, Kanagawa. Now he makes his own style guitar using his voicing method.
